How evil can Warnock be that he is not given a chance ?
Many of us slagged him off at times, but fuck he has to be an option if we have no one else.
Perhaps he fucked Faulkners,Mrs but he deserves a chance.
Maybe it is all clearer next week when we bring in 4 new players !

The issue I have with this zero funds line is... What happened to the £6m we offered Fulham for Dempsey on transfer deadline day? His wages would have been significant. Budget was there and not utilized, why can't Lambert use that now?

And another thing... when we bought Bent, we were counting on the money that we knew we'd get for Young later. Can't we spend at least a few million now knowing that we'll get decent money for Bent in the summer?

Would we get decent money for bent though, i think we would get far more for benteke if we go down but id be surprised if we got much more than £8m for bent .

I wasn't thinking we'd get much more than that myself, but we could buy two or three solid players with it. With Benteke and Weimann up front and Guzan in goal, we only need the other eight to be functional.

As I stated on the Newcastle thread, Pardew has said that the new signings have made the existing players 'go up a gear in training.'

Why can the fuckwits in our club not understand the importance of fresh faces?

Warnock is a crap left back remember.

That said rather than bring NRC back, Warnock could do that niggly, pointing, bollocking midfield role just as he did at the end of last season.

Sissoko signed  a 6 and half yr contract with the toon , i bet his wages are high too, hard to compete for players if we are not going to match other clubs on wages.

I can't help but say we're a pathetic joke now. We'll lose by at 2 at home to Newcastle.

I hope we fight it out for Mo Diame. I know it's probably a load of shite but it's only a £5m release clause and he could do a job. He'll end up at Arsenal or Fulham if he goes. Not happy that Coutinho wound up at Liverpool.

Interesting report in the Mirror today (Yes, I know)
It said that when interviewing for the post after AMcL, one of the candidates was told how much he'd have to spend and what wages were allowed. Apparently he laughed, and said he didn't want the job anymore!!

I think Lambert's being given the rough end of the stick. Maybe he's not totally blameless, but it's certainly not all down to him.

I heard benitez and randy had talks which lasted minutes and they ended it quickly as the money available was a pittance of what benitez expected.

The warning signs have been there for a good few years.
