I'd be very surprised if Bent doesn't leave in this window, the other teams are probably waiting to bid for him till late in the window trying to get price down and coax Bent to leave sinking ship.

Apparently, it's only on loan, so that'll be another 4m pissed up the wall when he walks (or, in his case, "gallops") off for nothing at the end of his contract.

Agreed, under O'Neill we had Carew, Gabby, Fonz and Harewood or Heskey.  We now have an infinitely better array of strikers, but the rest of the squad, maybe keepers aside, is hopelessly weaker.

I think it's the opposite Paulie - i'm assuming we've had to pay someone to take him from us as well as paying his wages, at least we will save on his canteen bill at BMH
