I was recalling this morning about how we were hovering around the relegation zone, the first season we got promoted under SGT.
We signed Ormondroyd and Callaghan and although they were poor in the long run, they gave us a short term boost to help us to safety.

What staggers me is that not signing anyone in this window makes absolutely no financial sense. If we don't sign anyone we'll probably go down and miss out on £60 million. If we spend about £10 million on a couple of players that'd probably save us and we'll get that £60 million. What sort of moron of an owner can't work out those sums?

i'm not into panic buys,  and some of the names mentioned on here are just horrendous,
 but i would have liked a couple of decent players coming in as we are weak defense and midfield areas
