I'd take Davies, Butland and Redmond, but they're only worth taking if you're going to do something with them. Butland will make an excellent signing for somebody but I don't think he'd come to us - he's progressed so much he'd expect to be moving somewhere he'd be first choice, and I'd rather have Guzan at the moment. As for Davies, I think he'd fit in just fine alongside Vlaar.

Isn't Gouffran mainly AMC and winger rather than striker even though he can play as one? if he's just about 750k-1 million we should be for him with that kind of money. But as Eastie said, midfield and defense must be the priority.

He -must- buy physical midfielder, in game against WBA we lost all energy from midfield when he had to sub Delph for Bannan and I think it cost us two points.

According to Sporting Life, Gouffran is earning £80k/week which is why they want rid of him. A bit much for Randy's purse I suspect!

You or them must be mistaking him for Gourcuff, can't imagine Gouffran being on 80k/week.

What's with this retrospective love-in of Curtis Davies?! He was always an accident waiting to happen. He wasn't worth £10m and he isn't worth £1.5m!

Forget Davies. He's a tit. Too average, injury prone and an accident waiting to happen. A bit like Richard Dunne.

I'd have Davies back like a shot.

Maybe Redmond, but no one else.

I see Coutinho is set for Liverpool..? Wish we could've struck a deal for him.

Curtis Davies, today's Nigel Reo-Coker.

Except NRC actually contributed to this club, he was first choice with Petrov under Houllier and pivotal to us staying up.

Whilst I would have loved him, he was always going to a club not fighting relegation* and we have more pressing areas to fill to survive this year.

* Aslo one that will probably get closest to matching/improving his Inter wage.
