I'd shudder at the thought of Curtis Davies back, It's cheap though considering he cost us £10m

Really Fletch? No, I think that would be a terrible move.

Reading are considering a £1.5m move for Birmingham defender Curtis Davies, 27.

Full story: Daily Mirror

I'd consider it at that price.

I've said before i liked him when he was here. That awful game he had against Raipd Vienna did seem to make up a lot of people's minds about him which was a shame. Bearing in mind Baker seems to pick up an injury every 3 games, he might be worth having on the bench.

I'd pay for him to go there if I could afford it, it will be a tremendous boost to our survival hopes.

He's a much better player than when he was here previously and don't forget we evidently haven't got a pot to piss in, so he comes at the right price.

No, he's just found his level.

Not good enough for a team challenging for Europe, but an ideal acquisition for a lower league team struggling to avoid relegation like Reading...

Pub player? I don't think so somehow.

I dont believe the scare stories regarding money to spend. In fact I've heard quite reliably (usually) that there is some money. No idea how much but enough to be able to afford a couple of decent players perhaps.
I don't want to get bogged down in all that ITK bollocks though. We'll have to see what happens but I reckon it will be the late late show again.

Anyway, there was a time when Davies looked a good player. Especially when he had a spell alongside Laursen and then Knight when Laursen was out. But after a couple of dodgy games he lost his confidence and never really regained it.
I think if he came back he would feel that pressure again and would struggle. So I'd say he isn't the player we need for a relegation scrap. We need somebody with a bit more mental toughness or at the very least, no "baggage" here.
I also think the Championship is his comfort zone.

curtis is complete bobbins. I can't believe anyone is seriously considering this. What next? A swoop for Beye and Heskey?

That was after his debut i think, which he was awful and he was honest enough about it. I did'nt think he was that bad up until he picked up that shoulder injury at Anfield.

No to Curtis Davies. He wasn't good first time round. Can't see how he would have improved enough to try and get us out of a relegation battle.

His Debut was a game at home to Leicester in the League Cup, which we lost at home.
