Hope they get their skates on as no signings means another game (Wba) where a result is plausible passes us by with us fielding a shit team. This game and Newcastle need to see some points on the board as failure to beat Wigan and Southampton and the other teams around is going to send us down.

If WBA hammer us he will walk I think ....

First managerial job he was on a poor run at Livingstone and quit when relized he couldn't do anything to halt the slide
Doubt it, but if we lose at home to Bradford then he will probably offer his resignation. Once, we can put down to 'one of those games', but twice?

We are all excited , anxious and pissed off about our position and seeming lack of activity.
I do not see many options other than keeping the faith and hope that deals are in motion, I agree with the sentiments about planning in advance but I think that it has become very complex with agents etc.
If we have not done anything at the end of the window, then it is the time for the $$$$$$$ signs and protests.
I also think our PR (NON EXISTENT) and club communication is crap, Randy is beginning to lose support because he is not talking.
If there is a casualty (apart from us fans) it should be Faulkener, we need some one who knows football and preferably the Villa in this role.
Here is hoping that my next scan of "news now" cheers me up.

I cheered myself up a little bit today with a chat to an Arsenal fan.   He knows his football having been a lower leagues player until a knee injury caused early retirement so I respect his judgement.   I said I would like to see us sign Frimpong but that we had no chance of prising him away.   Surprisingly my friend commented that he expects to see "Ping Pong" (what they call him not me) leave in this window because he is something of a problem.  So maybe we could get Frimpong and a central defender for Bent going the other way

Can i just remind everyone that Dunne is shit. Utter shit.
Dunne is this seasons Cuellar, when he's out of the team everyone thinks we miss him and he was amazing. As soon as he is in the team everyone fucking moans.

No that's Nigel Reo Coker & some people still believe he is the answer to our midfield problems.

But don't we want solutions not more problems?

Heard we're the un-named prem team who've offered a 6 month loan deal for M'Vila. Obviously Fulham and QPR have offered cold hard cash (Doh!)

Yeah, let's sign NRC a man so good that the mighty Ipswich (a worse shambles than us!) haven't offered him an extension.

You never know, we might have another Bent moment up our sleeve. Maybe signing both or the Toulouse midfield at once to sort us out completely, or have something lined up that will be of real galvanising note.

Straws, straws, I need more....

He's probably expecting a Champions League club to come in for him again.

Sorry Greg. I was very keen on M'Vila a few years back but he's not done as well recently. Still the kind of player we need, but if what you say is true we don't have much chance of getting a deal.
