Didn't Hangeland have the chance to go Arsenal but decided to re-sign with Fulham ?

Why would he now want to leave Fulham to come to Villa ?

He failed his medical at the gooners
so he would fail his medical at villa, think so, or shall we sign him anyway just to say we have signed someone?

Demba Ba failed his medical at Stoke, made his name at Newcastle and now plays for the European champions. Just because Hangeland failed a medical a couple of years ago doesn't mean that he would now.

granted, they still reckon his knee is well dodgy. no good being a good player on the treatment table.

If you're wrong Mark I will fly over to the UK and cut your balls off with a blunt blade (smiley face). Hope this turns out to be true.

Don't know much about Sissiko, but we do desperately need a good defensive midfield player so would be pleased to see one come in. Bit of a risk as we need any new signings to make an immediate impact and Sissiko is young and has not played in the Prem. The last two French midfield imports (Berson and Makoun) flopped, or leastways didn't get selected much, so we don't have a great track record of signing from that league.

Just relieved to see us linked with players in positions we need strengthening in though.

No such thing as a failed medical for these guys. It is just an insurance assessment and it's up to us to take the risk. When Clubs do not want to do that they term is as "failed medical".

How would signing a 22 year old from French League meet our  most important short coming  of  "team lacking in age and PL experience"?

I'd rather we signed Joey Barton.
