If makoun cannot speak English then him having a wife is of no relevance.

And teh fact that he was poor first time around should also weight in favour of him staying in France.

It's amazing how some people can write off a player after 7 games.

And yet the majority of Villa mangers during his spell under contract with us have also seemingly thought likewise.

I thing the issues with Makoun were cultural, as in settling in and learning the language, more than they were football related.

Yes the guy never really had the chance to show what he can do , i think that sending off at blackpool was the beginning of the end for him here .

I was delighted he joined us and think he should have been kept on , its shoddy work that he didnt keep up his english classes and should not have happened .

Even the one who signed him rarely played him.

McLeish was, but Houllier split opinion somewhat.

I'm not sure Lambert ever had much of an option with him given the work permit issues.

Define "rarely". From memory, he was suspended for a spell, as well as having an injury, and then the manager who signed him was incapacitated for a good portion of the end of the season. He was also given compassionate leave after family members were involved in a car crash (missing the final game of the season as a result I think).

Surely that's the bloke that ate Michael Johnson?

Have they actually been paying him?

He'd have NRC in a nice sarnie with brown sauce.
