Any chance on this Brighton midfielder?

WM were bigging him up before.
Like a said earlier he extended his contract 3 days a go.

OK.. the supporters who demonstrated  against McLeish were within their rights. I personally thought McLeish would of been better at organizing us and went down supporting him and us. Onto Lambert were just past halfway through games and halfway through a critical window possibly our most important for years. Were still in both cups..just!
Anyway I feel that we all need to put everything aside and support Lambert and the team. For all our differences were all Villa.

So criticising McLeish because he came from SHA is fair enough, even before you got to see how the team played under him, but the man who has given us our worst league ever result ever must be supported at all costs?  How does that work then?

Because people believe that with one of them there is far better to come (given better circumstances) and with the other, his best was way off in the past.

Can we not get back onto transfers? There is a whole thread about whether people want Lambert at the moment. I would like to know where the Bridcutt link is from, and how when he signed a new deal with Brighton recently.

The word filter only Martin can do at mods request or his own want and the merit of NRC is actually transfer related in fairness, and as we need a player who can run and tackle with a bit of leadership and experience, understandably people will throw his name into the melting pot, especially as he is free.

It is pretty depressing there are bugger all links to anyone right now.

The funny thing is, NRC wants to play for Villa, but we have said no, so ill stop talking about him now.

I want to play for the Villa, but they wont let me either, and for the same reasons.

Bloody hell, they can't afford £6 an hour?  Things must be worse than we thought.

This kind of commitment is worth £6 an hour of anyone's money:

There's been days of NRC talk - he's simply not good enough, no better than what we have, so not the answer.  Couldn't keep Bolton up last year, & was on the bench for most of his tenure at Costa del Ipswich - he only played against us due to other loanees leaving at the end of 2012.

Sadly I can't say what the alternative is.  Reading the Sky & BBC transfer tickers, every so often someone is linked with some obscure name from abroad - never seems to happen to us, which could be a slight on the limitations of our scouting network at the moment.

Tom Ince could be worth a punt, plus a loan deal for Tom Huddlestone, although AvB does play him.  I've always rated Chris Eagles at Burnley, but he again is too Hollywood, & Hollywood is not what we need at the moment - it's steel.

We lost more people down holes there one season than Chile.

The one the other side of the trees is even worse, even in 80 degree heat there is six inches of mud.

Bridcutt is an interesting link. He sounds like a decent player and is in a position we desperately need someone good.

That was our pitch, we'd been kicked off a lovely pitch next to La Reserve in Sutton Park because we couldn't get changing rooms.

Dont know much about him but on the face of it I'd like a 'been there, done that' player rather than another untried youngster. Wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong though.

I know the one, always had the added danger of horse, cow or goose shit on it.

Can everyone please stop talking about frigging NRC? That is all.

Agreed. I can think of no sadder indicator of our decline than people now thinking this bloke is some sort of half decent player who can save us from relegation. You'd laugh out loud if it wasn't so bloody tragic
