The genuine Mysteryman is somebody worth listening to. He got let down with info regarding McLeish and got hammered for it but is usually fairly reliable.
He's not really around much any more which is a shame. I think some of the gobshites on VT annoyed him but he used to post here occasionally and should again.

I've seen Coutinho play a few times and he is definately a class act.  I'd love us to sign him and A big lad in Midfield.

It is hard to have too much sympathy with someone who was insistent that we didn't want TSM because Jon Fear had told him so.

Is that where it came from? All I know is he said it was from a different source than usual.
I would have thought Mysteryman would have a more direct line to the good gossip than Jon Fear and indeed that seems to be the case.

I really enjoy reading posts from the genuine MM and Pelty to give you a bit of an insight.  I'll never forget the Sunday we drew at Blues and with the story breaking with Bent.

I refer you to the title of the thread and it covers options 2 and 3 . Point taken though dave and afore mentioned scoundrel now blocked from easties twitter .

Who was that other RB we were correctly linked with in the summer before buying Lowton?  We sort of worked out then that Lambert likes to have a few options when he's scouting for a certain position and if one doesn't happen he can move straight on to the other.  Perhaps Coutinho and Gouffran are similar and he's earmarked one of them for the inside left channel, having not been impressed with Gabby?

I know pelty mentioned a big signing but I believe it was mr dw who produced the name we all craved of mr db.

I hope you are right as either of them would be ideal although given the choice I think I'd prefer coutinho.

I think it's more that he wants some cover.  If 4231 is the way forward as the main system (which appears to be the case) we really need options in the wider roles.  Nzogbia and Albrighton are the only players we have who are naturally suited to those spots, with Weiman and Gabby both capable of doing a job there.  Gouffran and Coutinho would give genuine competition in those roles.

With Gouffran and Gabby he also has the option of playing them in Benteke's spot if necessary, as he does with Weimann, which means we wouldn't need an expensive benchwarmer like Bent, thereby releasing funds for other areas of the team.

I see it as more of a 4-3-3.  The real difference between that and a 4-2-3-1 is very slight, but mainly can be found in the players involved.  Similarly, if you don't have decent attackers in your midfield, it becoames 4-5-1.

I read back through his timeline he was claiming Bent stormed out vs Reading and we were in talks with Liverpool to sell him...

Saw that myself they do enjoy the witchhunt over people who post info they hear.Shame few good posters there left because of it.

Is Goufran the lad who went to one of the big Italian teams and didn't last too long? I thought he was more of a creative midfielder.
