Alex McLeish said as much in his interview after his first defeat.  He wants to concentrate on other areas, and I assume there's a limit on the number of players you can loan.

I'm surprised then he isn't getting rid of any of the decent players at Forest to make room for his best mate

Lowton is a vastly superior player to Hutton. I really hope him, Warnock and Ireland can be shed from the wage bill.

Not much going on is there..

Understatement of the day.  I wish Lambo would get a bleedin' move on.

Yes, get yer sodding finger out, we're 3 days into the window.

I am ok with what's seen as lack of action at VP however 3 days or not clubs I am sure clubs do ground work in November and December and sign players quickly as we have seen with Sturridge, Ba and Cole. It's not mandatory to wait till 1 Jan to start. I have no doubt that canny Faulkner has been at it and now dotting i's and crossing t's with a few astute signings.

It seems that we have a midfield full of 5''8 skinny guys who pass the ball backwards and cannot tackle.
Exactly like Barca ;)

I'm a vastly superior player to Hutton, and I have rickets.

You've had Ricketts? I wondered what he was up to these days.

Say what you want about Houllier
He loves  Liverpool. This started when he was a player at Liverpool Alsop in 1969. He is also something to do with NY Red Bulls. There!

Dear old Michael Ricketts.
Made his England debut in the same game as Darius Vassell.

A more spectacular fall from grace you'd be hard pressed to match.

I was under the impression that while you couldn't sign a player till January, you could still discuss a deal to buy them from their clubs any time you liked. If we're only just enquiring about players now god help us - 31st January here we come
Not sure about 'any time', but terms were agreed between Liverpool and Chelsea and Sturridge had a medical last week so business can certainly be all but signed before the window opens

So a bit of twatter talk about Huddlestone. Would he be a good signing? Him and Stephens be an improvement on our current options if it came off? Huddlestone, Stephens, Sinclair loan maybe. At least there are some tentative links.

I'm just not sure adding someone with huddlestones injury record to a squad full of injured players is a good idea.

No to Huddlestone from me as well. I don't think he'd make that much of a difference.

Huddlestone - Injury prone and a severe lack of mobility,  I don't really see the point.

Stephens -  Another one for the future, our focus should be on now.
