Not much going on is there..

Understatement of the day.  I wish Lambo would get a bleedin' move on.

Yes, get yer sodding finger out, we're 3 days into the window.

Afraid Chris is right, does take time and we're not privvy to what's going on behind the scenes.
We're going to have to be patient.

Is 3 days for having a go for not getting people in a new record? I would imagine getting Ipswich out the way is the first thing on the mind of Lambert giving him a couple of days to look at tansfers before prep for Bradford and Southampton next week.

We say this at the start of every transfer window.

I was under the impression that while you couldn't sign a player till January, you could still discuss a deal to buy them from their clubs any time you liked. If we're only just enquiring about players now god help us - 31st January here we come

That's the worry. Let's hope Lambert's got something up his sleeve.

Dunno about that.
I was more than happy when we swooped for Bent.
Although that makes it all the more puzzling that people seem happy to get rid of him.

Clubs don't want to sell unless they are sure of a replacement. The club selling the replacement are in a similar position and so on down the line.

Scottish Daily Record suggesting McLeish is considering ending Alan Hutton's loan spell at Forest and sending him back to Villa Park!

Alex McLeish said as much in his interview after his first defeat.  He wants to concentrate on other areas, and I assume there's a limit on the number of players you can loan.
