Dann has been truly abysmal this season too according to a forum of theirs I looked at last week, as he was one of my first thoughts, and Johnson has struggled at the dingles. At centre half I am not fussed about Prem experience. I think a German, Scandinavian or Championship defender would be fine. I am more interested that they can defend!

We were linked with Chester at Hull who seem to have kept a few clean sheets.

I like Chester. Reminds me a bit of Ryan Shawcross. I'd want him and A experienced centre half.

Scott dann is an interesting shout, but a bit of a risk. The truth is, I can't really come up with a better realistic option than dunne or Vlaar , though cuellar or Collins would be nice to have in the squad at the moment! Matt upson, carragher, Dawson? We might be best bringing in someone from abroad. I'd have a prejudice in favour of a Scandinavian though I think we were linked with someone from Porto?

We should throw as much money as humanly possible at Frank Lampard, even on a six month deal.  Not that he'll be going any further than QPR!

On the subject of 'Premier League experience' and how much we need it, which players did people have in mind?

Personally I'd be quite happy with Scott Dann. Still young but should have enough about him to help bring the youth along. And most importantly shouldn't cost the earth.

He was awful last season, but then so was Bassong and he's been one of the best defenders in the league this year. Huth was hopeless at Boro and is fine at Stoke.

Sometimes a player and club just don't fit and I think Dann's time at Blackburn is one of those times.

I'd be happy with Scott dann too.

I will dig out the link, but the Blackburn fans could not be more scathing. Dann is not what we need I am sure.

Chris Samba would be awesome, what is he up to now?

Leicester have conceded very few, who have they got at the back?

Maybe clampy but we have Vlaar, Clark, baker as well when all fit - I like Vlaar and baker as a pairing and prefer Clark as a defensive midfielder , Dann as back up cover would be fine if lambert can gert him back to the form he showed at blues.

My main worry is the midfield where we need two top quality additions.

I think Dann is a good call. I don't actually think we need a great defender, just a steady, experienced one. I would also take survival over any bitterness that he once played for the blues.

No to Dann from me, injury prone and we got enough of them

The only way i'd have Dann is if he got new legs.
