You get more chances of shagging Cheryl Cole than Barry or Milner back on loan in January.

Just hope we will have a new midfield enforcer and hopefully a playmaker, with experience and balls for a tough second half of the season.ﹰ

In truth, we don't know if this £10m story is true. He'll have a budget obviously but i think if a  one off player became available which would improve us massively and he was willing to come, i think Randy would pay it.

Arry will certainly be in for Bent after yesterdays performance. Worth every penny of 12mil if he keeps them up.

and will make our manager look a incompetent stubborn fool if we go down.

Whatever is to spend the club would hardly broadcast it, it's good Lerner was there to see how bad things are , I think he will give lambert far more than £10m.

Wouldn't surprise me if bent bagged a lot of goals for qpr and if they did stay up .

The £10m isn't even the real issue though is it? Who can we really attract with the right experience and attitude to join a club on the cusp of the relegation places who is available and wants wages we can afford in the right positions where we need players who can make an immediate impact? I'm stumped, but I guess that's why they have scouting networks. But I think if Lambert does anything useful given those constraints he will have done very well this January.

Hardly the cusp of relegation. Whoever comes in will have 15-16 games to have a big say in whether we are relegated or not. The defeatism on here is something I sincerely hope has not spread through the club!

We should keep Bent and flog him in the summer. We'll look even more stupid selling him to a rival and he keeps them up and we go down.

I agree. As bad as the last three games have been, you just have to look forward sometimes.

It is a gamble I would take only if it is used. If he is not going to play, and QPR want him, then charge them top dollar, say £15m, they may well pay it. Then use it, with the 10m, to sign 4-5 players of a higher quality. It would make us much stronger overall and probably include a couple of forwards that might see the pitch.

It would be too much of a gamble for me if we went down that road. He kept us up single handed when he came here, there's no reason why he would'nt do it again with another club and with the possibility of it being at our expense, i would'nt risk it. I'd possibly take the money if a club higher up the league wanted him although i'd still be tempted to keep him until the summer.

I think Bent will be gone for 12 mill to QPR and keep them up . We will use some of the money for Murray at Palace and the lad at Crewe . Depressing times

Lambert hasn't used him properly and I see nothing to suggest that he will change things to accommodate bent, sadly I fear he will go and if qpr do get him they will stay up with his goals.

However, I think villa will also probably stay up as well as qpr .

Lambert is convinced that his policy is right and we will be fine - lets hope he is right .

Keep Bent for god's sake , get some decent wide players to supply him and Benteke, the quality of balls into the box is abysmal at the moment, Albrighton managed to put a corner straight into the Holte End in our last match.

All the more reason not to sell him to a team below us at the moment. Would Man Utd sell someone like  for example Hernandez to Man City or Chelsea in January?
