I don't rate Lescott at a higher level but he would be great for us and the fact that he is a villa fan may sway it in our favour. I would take Benayoun on loan too as he gets forward slightly more than Ireland

We have one of them in Gabby who I rate and like having in the team but it is frustrating that he don't notch enough. We don't need another player in that bracket.

Bang on.  Gabby has become a bit of a non-scoring forward of late which is unfortunate.
