I would like to see a centre half and a midfielder brought in. I'm at a loss to name the ideal realistic midfield target but I would like to see Dawson from Spurs brought in to strengthen the defence.

Both experienced quality players , only worry on them is their injury records but if fit they would be excellent buys.

Parker I'd be happy on a short contract but I really don't like the idea of Dawson, his injuries troubles have been going on for far too long, we don't need another central defender in the treatment room, particularly with Baker and Vlaar both shown to pick up knocks throughout their careers so far we need someone who will always be available.

As he's coming towards the end of his contract, we might be able to pick up Hangeland for a £1m or so.

I'd take that, 10m+ and hangeland (who'll be on lower wages than Bent so that isn't an issue), offers an experienced centre half who's big and strong and would be able to pull the kids in line if things go wrong.  He's also fairly consistent in terms of fitness and performance so would be the reliable defender we need.

EDITED slightly to add the + I'd like a lot more but with £12m being the assumed figure I reckon anything over 10 is fair, big loss though.

Can't really see Fulham wanting Bent to play alongside Berbatov.  Hardly a match made in heaven.  They'd effectively only have 8 players capable of putting a challenge in.

And why would Hangeland let Fulham go for Villa? Living in London easy life little expectations from team he plays for coming to the end of his career...why would he want to move if he does move anywhere other than QPR?

Wishful thinking I think, but he would be ideal if fit, I suppose if available uncle Harry will be after him too .
