'Tomas rosicky', 'character' and 'top professional' all in the same sentence

Does that count as a triple oxymoron?

If the speculation is to be believed, Villa target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sneaks in at number 69 in the Guardian's top 100 footballers.

some of the 'kids' in the team are nowhere near good enough. chris herd at centre half being a prime example, also lichaj, bannan, bennett, weimann, albrighton, delph. kea seems no improvement on what we currently have. Ireland and Gabby are finished. Nzogbia might aswell be. Clark and Baker looked to be developing nicely but after the last 2 games its hard to know if they are really going to make it either. in summary we have a very poor squad. most players are capable of the odd good performance like bannan at liverpool. but they arent good enough frankly to play consistently well for a decent premier league side. Consistency is what players top players.

tomas rosicky would be a good signing I reckon. top professional. former captain of the czech republic. kind of character we need at the club.

if the injury problems for vlaar continue, dawson would be a decent signing.

would love to see a bid for james milner. got to start bidding for good players anyway, at least give the impression we wont go sleepwalking back the divisions sheffield wednesday style.

Weimann not good enough? Recent weeks would suggest otherwise.

Herd and Lichaj strike me as not good enough, as does Delph

No thanks for me for Huddlestone . Too immobile, lazy, lacks pace.Great pass on him, but we need an aggressive, competitive ,combative, big bastard in the middle of the park.I like the guy at QPR, does get booked a lot, but played well against us, and looks the kind of player we need.

Can't see how wieman can be " not good enough " he's been great , like Paulie says , herd , Delph and I know it's early but Bennett not been good enough

As Ozzjim mentioned, Palacios would be good and Huddlestone from the posters above.

In fact both of them please, plus a centre half and a striker.

Huddlestone was about to go to Stoke at the start of August but failed a medical.

Palacios was really good at Wigan but he too has had fitness issues and also understandly seems to have lost some motivation for football since his brother was kidnapped and murdered.

Still those two on loan for the rest of the season would be realistic and be premier league experienced midfielders.

weimann's had a few good games but I think he is a very limited player in truth. would love to be proved wrong obviously

bannan, delph, albrighton etc have all have very good games but never do it consistently. remember david pleat saying albrighton would be playing for england very soon when he first broke into the side. but dont think any of them really have enough to make it as a decent player in a good EPL side.

I am hoping this is where Henke (chief scout) will have a couple established players lined up. He knows the german and Dutch league inside out and is a good friend of PL who was Ottmar Hitzfelds right hand man ........

Just imagine the cost of getting his name on the back of your Macron home shirt

PEA is the obvious nickname, hopefully he'll be much better than Man U's little pea (on the basis he signs of course).

Fuck. That could be three new young and hungry players for the price of a shirt transfer!! Would suit Lerner though :'(
