There is no point in disrupting our team ethics and the new spirit by chasing so called big players. Milner may well fit into our current team but his wages etc will hinder more.

I think we can do better to be honest. Whenever i've seen him for Norwich and Wales he's just looked very average. He had a decent scoring record at Millwall but i'd rather see someone a bit younger come in.

In Benteke and Wiemann we're covered for youth/ younger players.  At 26, Gabby is hardly a veteran either.   We have a gap for a older head up top, should Bent move on.

I see your point as in regards to an older head actually. Just not sure Steve Morison is the answer. I think Bent will be here until the end of the season anyway.

Not really clampy, he has scored goals throughout his career and is a quality finisher , in sorry we couldn't find a way to play him that fitted in with our style.

As for Steve Morison, no ta. He is slow, has less top flight experience than most of our current squad and has even lost that menacing look growing hair :-)

I don't think Dzeko or Baloteli would come near Villa Park anyway. Not sure re: Barry but Milner and Lescott could be possible and I'd be delighted with either.
