What about Wesley Sneijder?  He's well out of favour with Inter.  Potential loan move?

He'd never come here, he's a lifelong B-lose supporter.

Who are the latest viking lunatics who would rather cough up their own ribcages than let goals in? Find us one of these gentlemen.

I'm pretty sure you are looking for Pontus Jansson (Malmö FF). 21 years old (I think?) CB, tall, strong and has a bit of Martin Laursen about him. Made his debut in the full national side in the Zlatan vs England game. He played something like the last 10 mins or so. Wont probably come cheap, but not overly expensive either. My guess around 2,5-3 m£.

zlatans bicyclekick you know about these other guys I scouted in ten minutes from Transfermarkt:

Even Hofland - 23 (born feb), 3 caps for Norway, recovering from ACL rupture, sign him up.

Vegard Forren - 24 (feb), 5 caps for Norway

These guys play in the backlines of Molde FK, the best team in Tippeligaen and haven't too many caps and are still in Norway so don't know.

Stefan Strandberg - 22 (jul), Rosenborg FK, no caps (21 U21), any good?

Gustav Valsvik - 19 (may), has played a year in Tippeligaen at 19 so must be decent talent, only U19 caps though

Juhani Ojala - 22 (jun), Young Boys Bern, 5 caps for Finland, great passer, played little under a year on higher lever (than Finnish league)

Daniel Höegh - 21 (jan), OB, in danish national squad, no caps yet

Jores Okore - 20 (aug), FC Nordsjäelland, in danish national squad, no caps yet, shortest of the bunch with 183 cm

I guess it'd be more expensive to buy someone from Switzerland than Scandinavia, but had to have a finn there as well. I didn't look at the players already in the money leagues.

No, sorry. Only players in the Sweden. Another up and coming central defender is Alexander Milosevic (AIK Stockholm) he is highly rated over here, has had a couple of nasty injuries though. 20-21 yo I think.

At CM we have Oscar Hiljemark (Elfsborg) who will be really good IMO, tipped to sign for PSV in january.

Where's the guy we used to have on here who was always coming up with exotically named players from Scandinavia and elsewhere who none of us had ever heard of? Has he returned perchance!?

John what's his name...on the tip of my tongue, was it Blackwell?

Only the great John Blackwell. He knew of players that haven't even been born yet in Norway and Peru. He was also the champion of Oyvind "Lionel Messi" Leonhardsen, the greatest European player EVER

I wish the dissection of his 'fifty managers better than Martin O'Neill' post could be found again. It was a thing of great beauty.

I do remember that Stale Solbakken, currently trying to relegate Wolves was on there.

Can't we just persuade Chelsea to do a straight swap Bent for Torres?  :-) sure it would never happen but it would suit both clubs they need a poacher and we need a striker who can work off Benteke.

Still firmly believe there is a cracking player in Torres, just needs to find himself at the right club

Surely It wouldn't be a proper window without being linked with Kim Kallstrom

No doubt about it but there's more chance of Lord Lucan riding Shergar in the National next spring.

Totally agree but if we're having Wesley S from Inter we might as well have Torres too :-)

Any idea of Shergars odds?? Might have a pound each way

I'd get in Henderson from Liverpool, Riise from Fulham and Sinclair from Man City, either loans or permanent.

Have the bindippers got another Henderson then apart from Jordan? I'd almost rather have Reo-Coker and that is about as insulting as it can get in my book...

He was good to great for sunderland and has hardly played for Liverpool.  No doubt he's been a flop but he was a good player.

You'd hope that Sinclair and Henderson would both be busting a gut to prove themselves again too.

I agree about Henderson there is a decent player in there he isnt worth the £15m Liverpool payed for him but could do a good job for us IMO

Sinclair on loan for the rest of the season would be a good move in January.  We need another wide option.

The only thing I'd consider getting Henderson in for would be if we needed a new pot man for the Holte Suite, or maybe a new groundsman.
