I would try a Bid to swap Bent plus say 6 millions for both Milner and Barry to Man City to see if they bite.

Why would man city want bent ? They have 4 top quality strikers already and Barry and Milner are both very much part of their 1st team squad.

I really like what i've seen of Lowton so far, he's made me forget we ever had Hutton.

Yes he looks a quality signing, I'm not writing off Bennett either as he's had a few injuries and I think we will see the best of him once he settles down .

That's just about the most ridiculous thing I've ever read, so I assume you must be joking.

Not to pour any more fuel on the 'milner's coming home' conspiracy, but stranger things have happened. Didn't Ferguson try a bid for Brian Deane before making his cheeky enquiry about Cantona's availability?

Why is everybody so eager to see the back of Bent, the one player we have who is guaranteed to score goals for us?

Unfortunately we're still paying his salary. We've pretty much got rid of the unwanted O'Neill signings but still have unwanted McLeish signings to get rid of.

So lets go and sign some experience at lets say 3 year contracts on 60 maybe 70k a week, I tell you what lets sign Dunne , Warnock, Hutton, Nzogg who are the type of players who have got us in this shit that were in, one let himself go that much that he did not look like a prem lg player for at least six months, one that has been berated since Wembley, one that universally is agreed one of the worst players that has ever put on a Villa shirt and the other one who looked good for the last team he played for but never for us, that what got us in this shit, lets hope the players brought in can step up to mark and we survive, coz thats what this season is all about, then in the words of PL we go again.

Look how many people were crying out for Adam Johnson ? and he has been crap for Sunderland, probably on 80k a week .... PL will prove that young and hungry is the right way forward ....

I could see the new man city manager maybe getting rid of some players to bring in his own... Barry being one of those out the door. Milner won't be going anywhere though.

Would I have Barry back if that was the case? Yes

Why stop at Barry and Milner, I am sure that Aguero and Silva are burning to come, Kompany must also be a genuine target. :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

If there was a change of manager at some point, Milner could end up being unhappy at the lack of football. There are too many if's for us to depend on it though. We need to find the next Milner, the next Barry etc. Barry cost little and Milner wouldn't have done had Newcastle not called off the original £4m deal.

It would be nice to find the next James Milner, Gareth Barry, Ian Taylor, Tony Morley and Ashley Young but we have to find them. Let hope the German scout will find them soon.

If it was up to him he would be.
