Frimpong for me would be a good start, on loan anyway. Also what's the situation regarding Makoun?

Huh? Has our physio demanded a permanent patient at a cost of £50k per week?  I'm also no longer to play football and would be happy to oblige for a mere £49k.

If we can possibly sell Hutton, N'Zog and Ireland then I'd do it in Jan. It might be a tough ask but we need decent players and raise as much cash as possible. We also need to sign level headed players. Consistent players. A few more with Holmans attitude and workrate would be good, as well as a couple of flair players.

I do think Bent will leave. Don't think he wants to stay, but we need as many goals from him this season as possible so a january sell would be foolish. Midfield is out major issue. It's causing our defence and attack too many problems.

Hargreaves just couldn't get a game for City, but I don't think he was injured?? I dunno, maybe there's still a problem. But on pay as you play I'd risk him.

Jenas on loan? I do remember what happened last time out, but surely it couldn't again? I think he'd offer something if (IF) we could get 10-15 games from him.

Hargreaves wasn't injured at City but couldn't get a game due to the class above him. He's still on a free,so should surely jump on a pay as you play with us?

Jenas is at Forest on loan. Scored yesterday.

It makes you wonder why no other club have taken him since he left Man City. His fitness is either still suspect or he's asking for a fortune in wages.

Downing, huddlestone and phil neville- Neville would be a short term fix and almost went to qpr last season but they couldn't agree a fee , I believe they offered £1m while Everton wanted £3m- downing would provide creative width and is out of the team at pool and huddlestone is a powerful tackler with an eye for goal- we need experienced premier players and those 3 would be gettable.

Downing? Jenas? - we need grafters, not prima donnas.

Downing created shedloads in his last season here- Liverpool is too big for him but here he would be an ideal supply for benteke . I know his leaving left a bad taste but survival is imperative.

We need three things in midfield, leadership and a pair of bollocks.

Downing can stay where he is.

Ok he was player of the season and created loads in his last season here, far more creative than anything we have at the club but because of the way he left you'd rather we not have him back   - I hope if we do go down that your not moaning then about not signing anyone creative.

I hated the way he left and yes he isn't a tackler but boy can he cross a ball and knock long accurate passes and I would take him back if it meant improving our chances of survival.

Downing, huddlestone and Neville would provide enough to keep us up I believe- do you have any suggestions ?

You say we need grafters and you want Downing?
He couldn't tackle a 5 years old without wincing in pain.
