I think someone mentioned before showing them videos of 94 and 96. Big Ron out-manoeuvred fergie in 94 against the odds. They should definitely have this match on the bus on the trip up to gorton.

Yeah, but as if they'd actually pay any attention.

They'd all be sat there with their oversized Beats with Dr Dre headphones on, listening to Usher, staring out of the window, thinking about cars and slappers.

Lowton      Vlaar     Clark    Lichaj

Carruthers     Bannan    KEA    Holman

Weimann       Bent

I'd be tempted to start with

Given - Guzan

Lowton - Vlaar - Clark - Dunne - Baker - McGrath - Lichaj - Bennett

Bannan - Carruthers - KEA - Holman - Westwood - Herd - Delph - N'Zogbia

Weimann - Bent - Gabby - Bowery - Benteke

and I still don't think it'd be enough

*wink*

The difference is that team contained truly great players like Saunders, Atkinson, Staunton, Townsend and McGrath, who were on a par with their Man United counterparts.

McGrath was truly great, in fact better, Atkinson when he could be arsed was a good player but Staunton? Truly great, are you sure?

Defence will get over run paulie, i'd stick Delph at left-left-left back and play Gabby as left-left-left wing.

During his first spell you'd have struggled to find a better left back in the Premiership.

Good point.

Might also be worth sticking Hutton in midfield, too. At least we'd have something to laugh about.

That's a ridiculous team Paulie. You've left out Albrighton.

Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Bennett, Holman, Delph, El Ahmadi, Agbonlahor, Bent, Benteke.

Might get overrun in midfield but not much option, as Bannan needs dropping (and wouldn't stop us getting overrun anyway) and Ireland is injured.

3-1 Man City i'm afraid.

I think the team he will pick will be:

Given
Lichaj Vlaar Baker Bennett
Herd
Delph Bannan
N'Zogbia
Weimann Agbonlahor

Circle the wagons.

I did consider that but he's a sending off waiting to happen so would only weaken the side. Bit risky only playing two keepers don't you think?
