The difference is that team contained truly great players like Saunders, Atkinson, Staunton, Townsend and McGrath, who were on a par with their Man United counterparts.
McGrath was truly great, in fact better, Atkinson when he could be arsed was a good player but Staunton? Truly great, are you sure? -

I did consider that but he's a sending off waiting to happen so would only weaken the side. Bit risky only playing two keepers don't you think? -
