This thread is so fucking depressing. No wonder it's said that we don't give people a chance, I'm glad the media don't monitor forums - it's embarrassing.

Work in progress for god sake people - get a grip.

Completely agree mate.
Happy to say we've been shit but there's gonna be plenty of ups and downs this season.
Suddenly players who were class last week are useless?

I agree this is obviously going to be a season of huge unpredictability, good and bad. But it's a shame to see the progress made in the last 2 games vanish completely.

What is really concerning is the acres of space Southampton are finding - they're just running at will through the defence, it's criminal.

Don't get what Holman actually brings to the side? All I see him doing is prancing around that big arms flailing run of his, with zero end product.

I got lambasted for saying that last week, when apparently he was the new James Milner.

Hoof. Hoof. Hoof. If we're going to play like this, we might as well not have sacked McLeish, tbh. I can't believe this is what Lambert sent the team out to do. He must be fuming.

There's a difference between this:

"Player X has been shit today"

and

"Player X is shit".

I wish people would get their heads around that, it's quite important.

Wit West Brom and Spurs coming up we may well be in the shit by the time we play any of the top 4.  Our relatively easy looking start has proven to be quite the opposite in terms of results.
Let's just take it game by game... Everyone was panicking after the Everton game and then it followed with 3 really good performances.

It does suck to lose today though especially with a derby game coming up, let's just not go OTT.

Stoke are losing... Nice.

Worryingly they are taking the full backs out of the game at will.

We've been playing without a midfield since half-time.

They
Southampton are the worst team I've seen us play in this division for a very long time.

What does that say?

They led at home against Man U with a few minutes to go before conceding two late goals and led at Man City. They are not shit just because Arsenal took them apart. We've played badly today but let's not make out they are Watford or Derby. They've had a really hard schedule and were going to win at some point. It's shit it had to be against us.

I'm basing it purely on what I've seen today, they're crap.

Yeah they've scored against big teams but they still lost. If you wanna quote records then they've had the same start to a season as Swindon did.
