Ah.

Reading overdid it, but I wish we'd done something. Maybe a nice message on one of the screens or something.

At VP?  There wasn't.

No not  at VP. I heard or saw nothing before the kick off.
And there is no need for it as no one had died this week or it was not a milestone anniversary of the original event. All we had this week was confirmation of what everyone knew.

Entertaining enjoyable game! First time for a long time when I haven't been desperate to go home by about 10 minutes into the second half.

Ron Vlaar is a natural captain.

Holman ran himself into the ground.

Benteke did what we have needed Heskey to be capable of doing for several seasons.

Bent made a decent all-round contribution.

Great to see Lambert on the pitch at the end.

Onward and upward!

super game, thoroughly enjoyed it, dont want to spend time picking holes in any player, as i dont think they deserve it.  Only blot on the landscape was the potty mouth bloke in front who shouted at Michu, calling him a cheating dago.  I thought Racism had been kicked out of football.

Paul Lambert secured Aston Villa's win of the season over high-flying Swansea, but not without having to make a tactical change to his Aston Villa side at half-time. Barry Bannan had been largely ineffective in a central role in the first half, completing only seven passes, and Aston Villa had no presence on the left of midfield. Lambert switched Bannan to the left wing for the second half, where he created four goalscoring chances and made 15 passes in the final third in a much more effective performance.

The disappointing thing about yesterday was attendance. Swansea had a good turn out so 34 k was not good enough. VP does not look impressive  with half empty Trinity and Witton Lane.

Not really its the upper tier wings that are empty so nowhere visual or pitch side
