I cancelled sky sports last month, the 30 quid a month for it on Virgin media was too much and the modern joy of 60 meg broadband means other ways are always there. MOTD for me tonight, but surely if sky have the wrong commentary on it is nothing to do with Branson and all to do with Murdoch?

Branson is not guilty here. I think it's Murdoch.

Gary Lineker reckons he gets the sense Paul Lambert knows what he's doing!

Keep it yourself Gaz, loose lips sink ships!!

Villa actually playing football? It was great to see us play that way, what will we have to moan about now?

Hansen thought were were 'lucky'. twunt.

In fairness Lineker said 'but it was a great strike'.

Only saw the highlights on MOTD but what a blessed relief it is to see us swarming forward when 1-0 up.  Tougher tests to come but we're starting to look enthusiastic, creative and positive.  Good stuff.

Nobody's touched on this refreshing fact yet but rather than bring on a defensive player to pack the midfield and defend our 1-0 lead for the last 10 minutes, Lambert brought on N'Zogbia to continue his attacking philosophy right to the death.

It was a great days entertainment, with both teams playing the game in the right way and trying to win the game and the best Villa team performance I've seen for years. The transformation from the Everton performance was dramatic. Every player played his part but if I had to pick out one player, Holman displayed incredible stamina and desire throughout.
It was great to leave Villa Park in an enthusiastic mood again. I'd almost forgotten what it felt like.

I said earlier that it was refreshing to be 1-0 up, and still be dominating the game.  To then actually score a deserved second was extremely pleasing.
TSM would of had a fit.

Hansen compared PL to Pubehead. 'O'Neill-like' was the expression I believe.

I really hope they give it a rest.
