Hansen compared PL to Pubehead. 'O'Neill-like' was the expression I believe.

I really hope they give it a rest.

Well it's true despite the fact that Lambert's ideology is actually sustainable.

I actually shuddered when he said that.

The BBC punditry is so fucking half arsed and lazy. Hansen "they were poor in the first game at West Ham" - I'll bet everything I own he didn't even see the fucking game.

Holman could be the new Des Bremner if he just cooled down a wee bit?

Now that I can agree with. Steve Claridge is particularly bad for this.

Great day. Can't remember the last time I enjoyed watching us so much. Not long back from the match. Getting drunk in the Farcroft after a great win. Villa are back. UTV

Pretty much sums up MOTD pundits where when Alan & Alan are talking about Liverpool's midfield of Gerrard and Allen.. they say Allen is frustrating because he plays it about simply whereas Gerrard has the right idea because he always plays it forward. The game has evolved and most of the pundits haven't. Dinosaur managers are being left behind, as are dinosaur pundits now.

Oh and while I was chatting to Dave W before the game Wolfie walked past. It was an omen we would win. As was not seeing Mr Red Sox *wink* Also a bonus was Legion not falling over the barrier he was leaning on at half time. His new t-shirt is ace, it meant I could tell it was him even though he was in the Upper Witton and I was Upper Trinity. And have I mentioned i'm quite happily pished?

All football punditry on TV is lazy. Dixon and Neville aside.

The Olympic Sport coverage had Claire Balding doing er everything with a horsey background, Nick Mullins and Eddie Butler (rugby folk) doing Judo, Tae Kwon Do and Archery.

Football carried on with comfort zone rubbish. Lawro's or Lawros's comentary on the Final saying I really see Brazil (v Mexico) turning it on today and putting  on a show and then Mexico scored after 30 secs. And never looked like losing. Priceless. :-)

I can't quite believe I am about to say this, but I thought ITV's punditry in the European Championships was excellent.

Jamie Carragher is - amazingly - a very good pundit indeed, if you can get past his whiny scouse accent. Roy Keane was entertaining, and Southgate speaks a lot of sense.

When we win and play well the post match thread is never as big.

Good performance from what I saw, Guzan playing well. Holman working his bollocks off Bannan doin well Benteke looks a monster, things are looking up. I must admit I was sweating a bit towards the end as we were missing a few chances delighted when we finished it off

What a transformation at VP.

What struck me most was how the players involved in every effective piece of action would congratulate each other - I can't see Bent surviving in this culture.

Large swathes of the central middle trinity unoccupied from my view directly opposite. Maybe they were watching the cricket.

Lambert is the thinking man's Pubehead. Did we run the ball to the corner flags with ten minutes to play? Did we fuck.
Lambert understands he needs to get Villa Park rocking and he will. I'm delighted so many of you were 'entertained' today. I'm sure you all want to be there for the next home game. Likewise, those that weren't there wish they had been and are more likely to be there at the next home game. Sustainable Villa built on success and entertainment. It's all very 1975.

Love it!
