Ron Vlaar is an absolute beast and I think will end up being one of the best centre backs in the league.

I was impressed with Wee Barry today, kept things simple, was always available for the ball. It's amazing what decent coaching can do.

I think ours is the only game that doesn't feature on Sky Sports website front page.

Fuck 'em I don't give a shit.  We're on the move and the only people that matter is us.  We're aware and we care, they can kiss my big hairy arsehole for all I care.

That should be our attitude. We tend to worry too much what others think. Let's have a siege mentality, focus on our revolution and start quietly climbing up that table (surprising all the 'experts' in the process)

Great all round team performance today, wouldn't be too critical of anyone. But Guzan's save in the first half was top drawer. After so many months since our last home win, the result was vital. The collective relief that came out after the second goal was tangible. There will be good days and bad days over the next few months, I just hope everyone remains patient.

I also think we might give a few teams a surprise or two.

Congratulations to Lee and Mrs. B - on a fine Villa performance.

Only kidding mate, good luck to the both of you.

On a serious note though, married in the season? Those anniversaries are gonna be troublesome.

Nobody's touched on this refreshing fact yet but rather than bring on a defensive player to pack the midfield and defend our 1-0 lead for the last 10 minutes, Lambert brought on N'Zogbia to continue his attacking philosophy right to the death.

It was a great days entertainment, with both teams playing the game in the right way and trying to win the game and the best Villa team performance I've seen for years. The transformation from the Everton performance was dramatic. Every player played his part but if I had to pick out one player, Holman displayed incredible stamina and desire throughout.
It was great to leave Villa Park in an enthusiastic mood again. I'd almost forgotten what it felt like.

I said earlier that it was refreshing to be 1-0 up, and still be dominating the game.  To then actually score a deserved second was extremely pleasing.

I was impressed with Benteke - we have missed a forward who can hold the ball up and have the strength to keep hold of it until a player becomes available. Whilst keeping my expectations in check he could be most important signing we have made for 3 or 4 seasons and just the player to bring out the best from Bent/Gabby.

Just got in from Thorpe Park so I don't really much besides the score, but it all sounds very positive and it's a treat looking forward to Match of the Day again.

Working today so couldn't go.Listened to Pat Murphy who was well impressed. He said Ron Saunders would have been impressed the way Lambert got the Holte to salute the players.  I remember the Saunders days well and i can't quite believe that we might be heading back to the days when we as a team and fans thought we could go anywhere and give  the opposition a game. Surely things can't be really getting that good - CAN THEY ?

Ger Regan and Mel (Irish Villain) that should put a smile on your faces before the evenings festivities.  Enjoy Brum and safe home.
I saw a chap in an Irish villains top in the holte today. Seen to remember him having a villa tattoo as well. Anyone care to own up?
