I'd give it to Wiggo but I think Murray will win it and I don't particularly object to that.

Fuck Murray, Sour faced c***, Ennis for me and she is also pleasing on the eye

With all your experience of competing for grand slams I can see the authority from which you speak there.

Honestly, the Murray-bashing from keyboard warriors is totally pathetic. Fuck that, I say.

Agree completely.

Usain Bolt for overseas surely?

I can see all of Team GB and Paralympics GB being honoured with Team award, otherwise you're ignoring the successes of others like GB rowing who were just as succesfull

I was following the Murray match on my phone, in bed, using Twitter as that seemed to update quicker than the BBC.  Anyway, I was surprised to see everyone immediately start speculating about how that might affect SPOTY, as though that was as much an achievement as winning the bloody US Open!

It will be a very competitive one this time, I agree, but it should really just be a bonus for the likes of Wiggins, Murray and Farah.

I'd say the shortlist of 10 would be something like this:

Wiggins, Farah, Murray, Hoy, Kenny, Trott, Weir, Simmonds, Dujardin, McIlroy (if he remains "British"), and Ennis - with perhaps Storey or Ainslie swapped in; then I can see the cycling and paralympic votes being split, leaving the door open for Farah or Murray.

Should be Wiggins. I won't be Murray because not enough English will vote for him.

In previous years the Beeb had a website poll so hopefully they will do the same.

Wiggo for me with Mo Farrah and Jess Ennis fighting it out for 2nd and 3rd. The combined Olympic/Paralympic teams should get the team vote and either Tom Daley or Ellie Simmonds for the young personality award. Bolt will walk the overseas award and I'd have Seb Coe as an outside bet for a lifetime achievement award.

I'd vote the same apart from having Bolt for Overseas
