Pffft, rubbish choice. What's he ever done to warrant it? All he does is sit down. Fat people ride bikes just as well in the gym.

I enjoyed that.  Amazing year of sport, well documented.  No doubt some of it provoked a chorus of harrumphing from the Statlers and Waldorfs but such programs aren't for everyone, evidently.

I inadvertently switched channels to BBC4 where I heard Phill Jupitus referring to Chas & Dave's "great body of work" which must be the unintentional joke of the century.

I voted for Wiggo. The other two votes from the Maidstonevillain household were for Farah and Ennis. I hoped Farah would get second.

Do the full results get published?

Ennis droping in the betting.

Ennis was droping? Got evidence.

Would have been happy with either Murray or Wiggins winning as I couldn't split their achievements.  Didn't actually think that Murray would get top 3, so very happy with that.

Once again though I thought the actual programme was shite.  I remember it in it's previous guise as "Sports Review of the Year" with the Personality revealed at the end.  Would like to have seen a lot more actual sport last night and if I ever hear bloody Eddie Butler's voice over one more montage, it will be too soon.

I guess this is the price for most sport not being on the BBC anymore?

BBC history was made last night. It was the first time the words "Andy Murray" and "personality" have ever been used in the same sentence.

If/when Scotland gain independence, can we retrospectively strip him of this award?

I did intend to watch but missed it all for various reasons.

But then with David Beckham, a member of the Royal Family and an ex Tory MP all on stage at once I'm rather glad I did.

Ben Ainslie, sailing was the only way out of the ghetto.
