Lowton, Bennett, Westwood and Bowery
« on: September 04, 2012, 09:06:49 PM »
I imagine these players were relatively unknown to most of us.

Take a stab in the dark, who'll have the best Villa career?

I reckon Bennett, mostly on the basis that he's not Warnock. And we haven't had a half decent left back in almost 4 years now.

Have we had this season's photocall yet? Still pissed off that I had to blacken David Unsworth out of my one for '98/99 a week after getting it.

Get your marker out. Me and Woodhall were mooning in the background on this years snap.

Bowery will have the worst career, because he'll be the only one without a statue of him built in Parliament. He'll have to make do with the knighthood.

Bennett seems to have had the most successful career before coming to us, having played for the England U21's and below; and played at the highest level consistently of the three. On that basis my presumption would be Bennett, but it's really impossible to say until we've had a proper look at all of them.

Yep, that's who I'll go for. Seems very mature, captain of his club at a young age. From the sounds of it a calm midfield player that likes to control and pass. Possible future Villa skipper.

I was going to post that but then thought, 'no-one will believe me'.

Maybe that should be our song for him. Or the theme from the Yul Brynner film.
