It is not good news for local supporting post delivery person as if we get out of the office at 9am or thereabout it will be difficult to get to the match on time. I will just watch it on delayed live coverage on TV when I finished work.

I doubt Norwich fans will have bought tickets as they aren't on general sale to villa fans yet - i just tried to buy some. Not a fan of morning kick-offs either as I like it when there are loads of other games being played as well. Its all part of the football experience and lends to the atmosphere. Still, if we win I'll learn to love early kick-offs.

You've got three hours and forty-five minutes to get to the game. You could get there from Norwich in that time.

Just use the X51.

Sums up modern football really this.

Ironically I have a good friend who's a Pompey fan who's invited me to the Sheff U v Pompey game on the Saturday. I agreed as I assumed this game would remain on the Sunday.

I can actually still go to this aswell as guess what Sky have pissed about with a random 3pm league one game and are now putting this on the monday night!

Convenient for me but not for any Pompey fan actually coming from Portsmouth.

I think he still has to deliver the letters first - that sounds like the time they get out of the delivery office to start their "round" or "walk" as it used to be called.

When I worked at Royal Mail we started at 5am on a Saturday and finshed at 10.05...........aah the good old days  - with luck I could get finished for about 9am which allowed me time to get to most games home and away.
