Lambert showed at Norwich he can flex his tactics depending on the opposition so expect changes against Swansea.

We know that they will try and control possession and, if they can't pass through us will look to counter attack with the wingers.

Therefore we need our fullbacks to occup them and for that reason Bennett should come in.

Isn't it nice to think we have more than one way of playing, will try to win the game and that the players are picked on form though!

Yes, Swansea are a class act, and I won't be slitting my wrists if they beat us. They can beat anybody on their day.

               Guzan
Lowton Vlaar Clark Bennett
               Karim
Holman                Westwood
               Ireland
      Benteke      Bent

Lichaj played great but we need to make Swansea defend, Bennett will be able to attack and keep them on their heels. I thought Bannan played wetook faints Too  and hypothetically should deserve to start but I think with Bennett's attacking prowess a more responsible midfielder is necessary, enter Ashley Westwood. I threw Benteke in the line up because I want to see what he can do, no disrespect to Andi.

I think we can easily take three points off Swans pending the right attitude and tactics.

I'd go unchanged but we all know Lambert likes a rotation so expect 4 or 5 changes

Don't know just always feel a lot more positive and sane when on here than when I'm over on VT.

VT - stayaways and serial gripers.

And talking of depressing ....  the comment column of Aston Villa News and Views - a pit of malcontents - I feel sorry for the bloke.

And Twatter is haunted by a twit called Big B - though oddly he's been very quiet about how shit we are and how we are doomed to relegation since Sunday .... round 4pm ish.

Cheer up u mooks - if nothing else - no TSM!

My mother was always a big fan of a man with this talent - as long as he doesn't put his back out.

I think they definitely have a few defensive frailties that we can exploit.  Their two CBs are not the quickest (one of them got sent off Saturday so will be suspended) and they will probably have a youngster at LB to replace the injured Taylor.  With that in mind, I'd start Gabby up front with the instructions to get at those three in particular when he gets the ball.  The only other change I would make would be Bennett in for Lichaj.

We should be beating Swansea at home. Yes, they a a wonderful team to watch but they don't travel all that well and we should be the ones with the majority of the possession. That is unless you are TSM and you tell your team to park the bus at home and let them have the ball, and then have a goof like Warnock be schooled by a young winger. Confidence is high. Bring in Bennett and Benteke for sure and go right at them.

Guzan, Lowton, Bennett, Vlaar, Clark, KEA, Ireland, Bannan, Holman, Bent, Benteke
subs: Gabby, Lichaj, Given, N'Zogbia, Westwood, Weimann, Baker
