I honestly think a large part of our problem is that too many of the players are just not very good. We're in denial about the quality of some of them.

Exactly.  Our much vaunted youth team hasn't produced anybody of real quality for years.  None of Bannan, Clark, Albrighton or Baker would get anyway near the Everton first team.

Indeed, and I think of those Clark is the only one who might be quality.

Sooner or later Jelavic will get a chance, and he'll probably take it.

Spot on as ever. Most of the youngsters are hugely over hyped

We have no quality on the ball at all. No one has that spark or vision, the technical side of our game is on par with a league 2 team. No manager can sort this bunch out, the kids with potential are not kids anymore and in my eyes have never been all that. Randy you really need to get some cash out and provided Lambert with some pure footballers.

I've not seen us this outplayed at home by a team outside the sky glamour sides for a while. We've barely had a kick

Did you miss our capitulation against the mighty Swansea last season?

WTF was that from Bannan?  Swinging his leg at it like that?  He's supposed to be cultured.

I think the relegation talk is a bit premature

I don't. I'm so very glad I don't feel the same about the game anymore, my weekend would be ruined.

OK now we are fucked.

We need better players in this team its that simple. A good manager can only do so much, he can't transform players who just simply aren't up to the mark. A team that has struggled badly last 2 seasons need vast improvements if they want to progress.

We can't expect to do much with this current team, we need improvements. I hope this is a wake up call pulling their finger out and get busy with 6 days of the transfer window remaining.

Let's not joke around here, most of our kids are just not up to this level at all. I'm not happy saying that, but some of them have been around a while now and not come on at all.

Well up until now, Bannan, Clark and Baker have been fine. It's the older players that look like the weak line. N'Zogbia should be no where near the first team.

That is very true, thank god for apathy!

It's true. Of all our players coming through I don't rate any of them as potentially top 5 quality. Clark at a push may be the next Cahill, but that aside, at best we've got potentially mid-level Prem players coming through. That's being generous.

In all honesty I don't see Fonz making it in the top flight. I don't think Bannan will. Herd, through graft more than quality, will probably last in the prem, but he's lower-mid table standard.

I cannot fathom how Randy thinks we'll get by like we are.

You'd be forgiven forgetting Delfouneso is on the pitch. And he's not the only one.

The squad is just not good enough, plain and simple.

PL needs time to get things working the way he wants them to, but he's going to be constrained by working with what is, in all honesty, one of the worst squads in the top flight.

If anything sums up the piss poor way the club has been run for too long now, it is the fact that we spent all that money to end up with such a weak squad,

You see the last sentence is why things look so bleak..... 6 days to sort things out when they've had three months.
