Had this a couple of times today

I just had that. Refreshing the page didn't work and I couldn't get onto/into any threads. I just kept trying and then it was okay.

Yes getting video player windows appear and banner ads at the foot of a page. Started in the last 48 hours or so.

I just get loads of ads and the home page so I have to search for any topic. I have a link to "little things that are so annoying" so I have to go that and then I can find the daily topics on there. Frankly I am getting a bit pissed off with it as this has been going on for some weeks now.

Whilst I can appreciate, and accept, the need for ads within the pages, I am now getting pop up ads along the bottom of the screen every time I open up a new page. Can only assume it is linked to, or as a result of, going down the ad route. Having to kill the pop ups every time I open a new page. Makes using H and V hard work, and a not particularly enjoyable experience.

The adverts at the top and side are just about bearable but this advert which now pops up along the bottom, or just off the bottom is a pain in the arse. Frigging nightmare, on my small device there’s bugger all room left to read anything!

I'm a little confused.
As a Golden Muppet, I thought I was paying not to have adverts on the site.
Is this right or wrong?

Ditto.  I've now had to adblock them all, which I wouldn't have done without the ones that began to display at the bottom.

There is now an option for all those with GM status to get rid of these with a customised theme.

I’ll resubmit my membership soon, this last few months have been a financial struggle. My own fault for having so many bloody kids and pets! I miss my muppet status.

Before you do, I’d recheck the Disclaimer.
Especially if you’re a solicitor or intend to use Canadian coins.  :o

I’m sure it’s significantly longer than it used to be !

(It also eschews any connection with ‘the Aston Villa’ which is a nice touch.)

Anyone else finding page loads really slow the last couple of days?   If it's only me, it could be something at work, but all other sites are fine only this one is lagging.
