Agree with this. In danger of joining long list of flatter to deceive merchants - Geddis, Cascarino, Collymore, Balaban

I think it's just that he's looked bright on a few occasions and I know the player he can be when he can be bothered so I'm still keeping the faith that he's going to start performing soon. :/

Sorry to say I can see us losing this one and getting very little in terms of points from the next 2 or 3 games until the penny finally drops with the players and they finally start to understand the way PL wants them to play. From that point on I reckon we'll have a streak of wins and climb the table

A rocking Villa park 110% behind the lads and a 2-1 Villa victory.  Maybe 3-1 Villa.

Can't remember the last time I went to Villa Park and it was rocking. Maybe the cup game when Phil Neville scored that o.g. to put us 2-0 against Man U, and we still lost haha. Come on the Vilains, a first home win of the season would mean so much.

Hearing the atmosphere at Goodison the other night made me realise that we really do lack confidence as fans let alone players!

That's a very good point.

In some ways it worries me more.
We (I include myself) seldom have the enthusiasm these days to raise the team - we just watch the comedy unfold...

Which is why it's important we put in a good display against Everton.  A win would go such a long way to banishing the memories of last season.  Another nervy loss and it'll just be seen as the shit run continuing.

As I once wrote in an H&V article having a rant at our lot, "We've waited too long for the team to give us something to sing about, let's give them something to play for."

Exactly!  If the fans can get themselves up for this match, crank up the volume, give it total support and belief, we will win - I have no doubts.  The key thing is that we, as fans, have to move on from last season's mindset as much as the players.  The stink of last season has gone, it's now time to move on.  It's an important game (we've won one in our last I don't know how many) and a huge three points to kick start the new era.   Get the passion and performance right and Everton won't know what's hit them.

They pushed Fellaini up alongside Jelavic on Monday night and played a 4-4-2, but I can see him dropping in and them playing a 4-5-1 away from home.  In Pineaar and Osman they don't have wingers who will get at our full-backs so I can them pushing on a little more on Saturday.  I would play El Ahmadi in a deeper role to take care of Fellaini, would match Holman and Delph agiainst their two central midfielders and hopefully that would free Ireland up to find spaces behind their two central midfielders so he can be a threat a little further up the field.

I hope Bannan starts ahead of Delph. I know they're different players really but I think Bannan offers so much more.
