Shame I missed it. My impending death by a thousand snots, otherwise known as man flu, meant stopping out in the cold was a bad idea.

Impressive support from Olympiacos, at least 200 singing all game. Thought they were unlucky not to get an equaliser from their second half display.

Thought Burke and Grealish were very good. Didn't have a team sheet, but our number 9 looked happier on the wing, than up front. Whoever our black centre-half was, looked very good too and the keeper had a good game.

Thought Donacien had a decent game as did the keeper.  Liked Barton on the ball, used both feet to make passes without a problem which is quite a rarity nowadays.

Regards Carruthers, Grealish and Burke, thought they played well in flashes but frequently overplayed it when they could have done the simpler thing.  Unfortunately whilst they looked ok as in maybe a future Bannan or Clark they certainly did not look like Rooney did at that age and dominate proceedings.

Was Barton the number 8? Thought he had a decent game.

Doesn't Abramovich own part of CSKA? He'll probably just tell them to let Chavski win (if they beat Arsenal, that is).

From watching the stream second half, we appeared to have as good as chances as they did. We hit the bar, Grealish (or Burke) headed straight at the keeper from point blank and then skyed the rebound and then we had a good shot which then fell to our offside player for a follow up.

Fantastic that we are competing so well in this again. Following the Villa is not been exactly fun in the last three years but this is just great and shows that, as a club, we are getting something right, lets hope the success spreads.
