25 Man Squad

Apologies in advanced if this is covered somewhere else.

Just looking through the 'youth' players there are not many that can still be considered youth (i.e. under 21) which means the 25 man squad this year is going to be at capacity.
My understanding is that Under-21 player is defined as being born on or after January 1, 1990 for this coming season. Only room for 2 more players unless someone leaves.

No, he's right I think. You can have home-growns at any age plus 25 others.

Actually though, that doesn't sound right as you have to submit that list and pick from it. Oh, fucked if I know.

You've got to have at least 8 English (British) players in the 25 but you can have unlimited home produced players. Even if they are foreign. Such as Weimann and Seigrist.

My understanding :

1) The 25 man squad has to include at least 8 home grown players. Home grown in that they have spent 3 years with an English or Welsh club prior to the age of 21.

2) The nominated (up to) 25 can be added to by any number of players under the age of 21.

3) You are allowed to nominate useless tossers you were stupid enough to pay big money for, but you do so at your own risk.
