Be honest!

Did anyone think that we would win a PK Shootout?

Not me, I must admit; every pen, was a perfect one, excellent.

Well what a difference 3 weeks make with Lambert and his backroom staff. Promising stuff. Really encouraging for the future. Glad I watched that, especially with all the weird goings on. A guy with a buzzsaw, chopping up a log while the match is taking place?! Tom Hanks doing the toss at the start. The English and American national anthems. Villa playing in red and blue (according to the commentator) and a penalty shoot out as well as talk of an end zone?! It could only happen in the land of the free and the brave. Definitely time for bed and some trippy dreams.

Well not too bad. Some lovely passing at times but too often it lead to nothing. Still it's only a friendly and it's early days. Looks promising for the long term.

I do wonder about the crowd's patience for this new passing style. It will take done adjusting to and there will be games where we go nowhere as we adjust. I can imagine the "get it fucking forward!" complaints already

Having said that, if we start with the fonz and weimann up front we will struggle to score. And bent will need to get back into form which might be tricky in only a couple of friendlies.

A sturridge type player would be amazing but I'd be surprised

Patience for the passing style? Christ, we'll sit content just forgetting last season if we can see three passes strung together.
