As soon as I read Robbie Savage I lost interest, why do the bbc insist on employing that little twat.
From an outsiders perspective it's almost understandable. To play Devil's advocate for a minute it is never easy starting a campaign with a new manager again (and for the 3rd time in a row). We were 16th last season, we've now lost our captain and influential midfielder and replaced him with a cheap unknown quantity in KEA, likewise experienced players like Collins and Cuellar have gone and again been replaced by a cheap unknown quantity from the 3rd division in Lowton and ok a Dutch International in Vlaar, albeit with no Prem experience. Holman replaces Jenas/Makoun in the squad and Heskey and hasn't been replaced. Experienced players like Beye/Hutton/Warnock are being let go or we're trying to push them on to save cash and we hope that youngsters like Stephens/Lichaj/Baker can step up. There is no serious money apparently to be spent and we start the season as we left off last with 5/6 injuries to key players. Ireland/Dunne/Gabby have underperformed for 2 years in a row now (almost 3 for Ireland albeit last year was better) and will find it difficult to get back to their previous levels and N'Zogbia has been the same for 1 season. That's not how I see it, but an outsider with no affinity to the club may do.
