Maybe it's just something as simple as that's how they were laid out at Norwich. Football is riddled with superstition.

It's probably been done because MON mentioned about the moaners behind the home bench.

they've only moved it 6ft or so. The same moaners will be there if we don't get results. We've become very good at that over the years.

I like details like that. Its the sort of thing that would never have crossed TSM's mind for instance. I liked when MON had the big daft Recaro seats torn out of the dugouts because he didnt want his subs feeling comfortable.

And yet the most successful teams have those Recaro type seats.

Did we have those Recaro seats? I can't remember ever noticing them to be honest. They certainly weren't there when I went on the stadium tour during pubeheads first season.

Because they worked out that players are happier when treated like civilians not soldiers.

I also remember MON moving the away fans from behind the goal in the lower North Stand.  Always thought that was a good move.

Yep that was a very good move - in fact Turner or Taylor did something similar after Molineux was redeveloped.

As likely as any other explanation

It's probably been done because MON mentioned about the moaners behind the home bench.
I sat near to the away dugout for a couple of seasons, he'll get no peace behind there either - its pneumonia the state capital of moaning, they complain if the ball kids don't move fast enough, if it's offside the flag didn't go up quick enough, the chips are too cold, the curry sauce is too hot and there is always nearly a dust up with an opposition bench warmer. They wait for them to run up and down the touchline like snipers and then bang, just as they pause to stretch the hamstring - "I eard your missus was shaggin giggsy, ya wanker!".  This is followed by hysteria when the oppostion bench jump up and give it the Marco Tardelli in front of them when they score. If it means Paul Lambert wading in and grabbing a few of them by the throat to sort this problem out, I'm all for the dugout swap.

That's a little harsh. As I remember it, you too like a good moan when things aren't going well, Toronto.

On a seperate note, Does anyone know why the Subs warm up towards the North Stand and not the Holte? I preffered it the otherway around, think it was easier to help spur them on.
I assume it's so that they're no longer in the linesman's ear giving him grief over offsides etc.

In fact, maybe it's because the subs now go left to warm up that PL wants to swap dugouts. It must be annoying when the oppo subs are constantly crossing in front of your dugout – a bit like when someone arrives late to the seat a few down from you, then pops out again after 15 mins to offload some of the booze, then disappears again 5 mins before half time for another pint, then comes back ten mins into the second half with his tray of diet chips, then another piss... then leaves early to avoid a queue for the bus.

That sounds a bit like how Nigel Callaghan used to warm up

Or maybe it's to prevent them from 'doing a Sidwell' again?
