The same paper last week had Savage commenting that not only would we be fighting relegation again next season but so would Norwich.
Did we have those Recaro seats? I can't remember ever noticing them to be honest. They certainly weren't there when I went on the stadium tour during pubeheads first season.

Sorry to go off at a tangent but this thread is as suitable as any for my exasperation.I noted in today's Mirror that James Nursey is still fanning the dying flames of his cauldron of hate assessment of Villa fans. Today it is the customary couple of column centimetres of Villa coverage and, yes you guessed it it carries a picture of McLeish and a mini headline reference to the Big Eck nickname they love so much and which we never uttered. It carries the phrase "so-called negativity" of our ex manager and the whole slant of the piece is that McLeish was a martyr. One sentence is given to our new manager's desire to see better football. Now McLeish is gone the journalists are too bone idle to actually report the facts and continue to regurgitate the Villa fans hate everybody lies. The same paper last week had Savage commenting that not only would we be fighting relegation again next season but so would Norwich. The owners of The Mirror should take a long hard look at how skewed and provocative journalism affects their sales. How can you take seriously a newspaper which regards Savage as a football pundit of any provenance?
You could just write Nursey off as smarmy wanker who writes for a pointless rag that no one in their right mind would make an effort to buy.
