hope and expectation;
the pre-match buzz;
not having to suffer the two-hour return journey after a painful game;
not having to bat off the condolences of fans from other teams every week;
a team on the front foot, willing to try different things;
the growth of the youth potential into actuality;
a Villa Park rocking with noise, excitement and purpose - willing the team to go on and score another;
Villa shirts on sale around the country;
kids wanting to be Gabby or Gardner or Clarkey when having a kick-around.

not much then!

Putting the Villa down on the bettimg slip with belief and not through loyalty.

Coming on here and not having to wade through pages of how we're doomed forever.

Not a f**king hope in hell!

So on an optimistic thread, you've come on to moan about fans moaning.  Not entirely sure how that works, but whatever floats your boat.

It was meant to be tongue in cheek.

Fair enough them, cheers! :)

Smiling after 90% of games
Crying after 10% of games instead of the other way around.
Oh........And supping ice cold beer and enjoying it.It doesn't taste as good when the Villa are'nt playing.

Hopefully our youth,with better coaching and guidance can kick on a bit next season,there's some talent which needs unlocking in Bannan,Delph and Albrighton.

And no mention of teams with different agendas.

I'm actually looking forward to everything. Literally. Last year every game you knew there was a better than good chance we'd lose, and an even better chance that the game would bore the piss out of us and it would end in a draw. Then the manager would come out and tell you how perfect the tactics were. No more of that. Lambert talks a great game and goes out to win every time. His win at Spurs this season was evidence of that, and when was the last time a Villa team went to Spurs with every intention of winning the game?

I'm not expecting miracles straight away, as the playing squad is still largely shite.  However, getting a shred of dignity back would be a nice start.  I've never known a Villa team be as widely ridiculed as we were last season.

Did I mention that I think we are doomed forever?

Completing my groundhopping of the West Midlands League Premier Division. Only five to go. Get started on Division One then.

- The team being built around a superb, dynamic, intelligent Stephen Ireland
- N'zogbia playing like we all know he can on a consistent basis

- Marc Albrighton winning back the support of H&V
- Getting to sing "hi ho Aston Villa" after a game more than 4 times in a season
- Having Darren back scoring goals

And most importantly,

- Seeing my old man happy for a change, he's had a really tough year.

Not sure the first two will be around that long next season.
