Things to look forward to next season
« on: June 01, 2012, 11:21:16 AM »
1) Beating Sunderland 3-0, as our swift passing and movement off the ball proves to be too confusing for them.

2) Beating Liverpool 3-0, with Stewart Downing carrying on his impressive form of last season.

3) Seeing crowds closer to 40K than 30K

4) A renewed sense of togetherness from the owner, manager, players and fans.

5) A top half finish, with a sniff of the top 6.

Actually trying to score those, urm, what-d'you-call-'ems...begins with a G.

Attacking and a tangible sense of hope around the club again. Hopefully we'll spend some money again and positivity will return. Villa Park is a formidable ground when the whole club is pulling in the same direction.

Goals scored from a corner.

A Plan B.

Going into games with the so-called 'big teams' thinking we've got a chance.

Seeing everyone (well almost) much happier again! What a relief that will be.

Another crack at the FA Cup, five months after Lambert's new direction for the club is commenced.

Walking towards Villa Park pre match  with a sense of optimism rather than the dead hand of fear.
Having fun in L8.

Not knowing the outcome of the game the day before kick-off.

Players working themselves into the ground.

Team picked on merit, not reputation.

Widespread feeling of optimism.

The end of defeatist post-match interviews.

That's just a handful of things that spring to mind....

Not feeling so apthetic towards every game
Having a go at one of the cups
Not fearing the oppostion
Players fans and manager on the same wavelength
Decent attendances and some atmosphere created thats joyous not poisonous

Win, lose or draw, excitement and effort linked with some optimism.

Coming on here and not having to wade through pages of how we're doomed forever.
