He's in the provisional 27 strong squad which is being cut down to 23 later this week.

Regardless of Holland being "weak in that position" they're one of the top drogs in international football. Fair play Fatty Bouma for the Lazarus comeback.

Top drogs or top droogs? Well there could be an orange link I suppose.

I'm not surprised we let him go when we did, and i'm delighted he has got his career back on track as I doubted he'd ever play again. All the best Freddie.

People talk about Milner, Young, Barry and Downing leaving, but losing a back 4 of Young, Laursen, Mellberg and Bouma has probably hit us harder.  Not to mention Cahill.

No, go on. I don't think it was discussed as much as it should have been on this site.

And Delaney a couple of years before that.

Tbf we didn't keep that many clean sheets in 07/08 although that could've been to the refreshing all out attack policy we did for once that season (70 odd goals wasn't it?) and having Scott Carson in goal.

He started off shit, probably because he was a total fat fucker. But, once he lost the weight, he improved quickly.

Always thought Freddie was the best left back we've had since Stan Staunton.

We've been pretty poor at full back since the start of the Premier League. Delaney, Alan Wright, Staunton... not too many very good players...
