Regardless of Holland being "weak in that position" they're one of the top drogs in international football. Fair play Fatty Bouma for the Lazarus comeback.

People talk about Milner, Young, Barry and Downing leaving, but losing a back 4 of Young, Laursen, Mellberg and Bouma has probably hit us harder.  Not to mention Cahill.

Tbf we didn't keep that many clean sheets in 07/08 although that could've been to the refreshing all out attack policy we did for once that season (70 odd goals wasn't it?) and having Scott Carson in goal.

We've been pretty poor at full back since the start of the Premier League. Delaney, Alan Wright, Staunton... not too many very good players...
