Greg, I'm sorry I told you to fuck off. What I really meant to say is that you really ought to get off your arse and support the Villa, rather than taking a perverse pleasure in everything that goes wrong. I'd be able to tolerate your gloating at the latest setback if you had the courage to name a candidate who meets with your approval. It would not be so infuriating if you ever attended a match, or applauded the club for anything.

So I'm sorry I told you to fuck off. I hope you understand why I felt the need to tell you to fuck off, but it was wrong of me to use the words 'fuck off' to you.

I'd still be happy with OSG, Lambert or Martinez, but I wonder if the club now need to look wider, if OGS isn't actually coming to Villa.  Poyet, Di Canio, God forbid Di Matteo, I hope not Simon Grayson, couldn't cut it with a big club like Leeds and would stand even less chance at an even bigger club like Villa.  Young and vibrant, reinvigorating? How many out there are there?

I have just caught up on the last 40 pages, and I don't think this is done and dusted yet.

And I refuse to change my name back until I see a quote from either OGS, RL or PF that it is dead.

You just want to moan, take the piss, and blame people when things go wrong. You never pay in to VP, but you feel entitled to have a say. I have no idea why, you are an emotional leech.

oh aye. with your job i wouldn't go down the 'leech' road

Enough, this sniping will get tedious extremely fast.

Simon Grayson could one day prove a good manager; I doubt anyone could succeed at Leeds with that head the ball Bates in charge. Now, though, is not the time for him to try here.

I think something went on with the Molde chairman tonight (who sounds utterly fucking hatstand) and he's come out, decided not to go for it, and used the obvious reason.

Very odd.

I agree - I don't want to get into the realms of conspiracy theory but logically, the only thing Molde can change to tempt him is offer loads of cash for both him and his squad (like titanic amounts of cash) because they can't change the view from his office, can they? Villa have probably set their stall out, Solksjaer has reported back and Molde's chairman has retorted to such an extent that Villa can't match it.
I very much doubt he is getting paid more at Molde than we can pay him.

Maybe substitute 'can't match it' to 'won't match it' in my post.
Again, IF he was our number 1 choice I very much doubt that.

I didnt want him adam so plenty currently, but if i had, i wouldn't have worked myself up into hysteria based on nothing and then got so disappointed i spent the time afterwards getting mardy with people like you and Damon. The club told you they were looking at more than one candidate, so did pelty.  Its your own fault you're upset.

And you take great joy in pointing it out as well. It's more than likely that attitude that rubs people up the wrong way than tonight's unfortunate events.

what joy? Only mentioned it because people started having a pop. If you can't take it, don't dish it out.

Oh please. You were on here straight away trying to rub people's noses in it. You know when to kick people when they're down, Greg, hence why you were nowhere to be seen on this board from about 2007-2010.

Gutted like most, still think Ian holloway would do a good job. If as some folks on here are saying randy ain't gonna spend big holloway would get every single player in a villa shirt up for each game ready to give their all.

No way to Ian Holloway. Things are bad but they aren't so bad that we go crawling to somebody who A isn't all he thinks he is and B had the cheek to slag off a club of our standing.
A club of our standing? Take a step back and look at the bigger picture we ain't the massive club we once was. Our situation over the last couple of seasons has changed we need to get real and accept that we can't attract the best managers or players. What we can do is get a manager in who will work with what we've got and get them playing as a team and add a couple of half decent signings.

I did bring this up the other day, it does make me cringe sometimes the way people go on about a club of our size. You don't hear Everton go on despite the fact they've won a lot more than us recently??

When was that?

Since we won the league, 2 league titles, 1 Cup Winners Cup, 2 FA Cups and a league cup.

Hardly recently though was it (and could be wrong but I don't think they have won the League Cup)?

I think it was in relation to someone posting that he was now almost the favourite on some betting sites. At least I hope it is in relation to someone posting that he was now almost the favourite on some betting sites.

Villa press office have confirmed it.

He's second, after paul Lambert, on Oddschecker.

I'm sure there was a distinct lack of Gnasher on these boards when we were doing well. Perhaps you came on every now and then to have a whine when we'd lost.

I don't remember you saying anything positive about Villa ever since you've been on here. Not one thing.
