repeating myself here, but during MON's time he never went for players at the smaller Europa type clubs in the bigger leagues, where coming to us would be seen as a step up  both money and career-wise. Same applies to managers

Christ, aren't there some drama queens or here tonight! Why shouldn't OGS have declined to be considered for family reasons? McLeish has only just got the boot-print off his arse and there's people moaning about the club dithering. Have some dignity, I would have liked him to come too, but it's far from the end of the world. Apart from anything else, I wish people would stop flapping their egos by claiming to be ITK. As a rule of thumb, assume that you know fuck all, and stop this ridiculous Chinese Whispers - the waiting for something to happen is irritating enough.

Totally agree.  I am fed up with so called ITK's, twatter, media bullshit and the rest.  What satisfaction do people get in being the first to spread a rumour that usually is just guesswork.  I also get the feeling that there are people that just deliberately post things that are not true for the hell of it.  Whilst I am at it, I am fed up with people criticising the club, players etc based on what they want to think is going on, rather than fact.  I am pissed off with the whole must know now, must happen now attitude.

Disappointed about OGS as his profile fitted how I want Villa to go forward.  I have only seen the Evening Mail exclusive which seems to have been taken up by all the rest of the media.  I assume MK's ITK is the Villa Press Officer as it all happened so quick.  I can only guess that OGS contacted the club immediately about his decision so that they knew before it hit the local media there and that is why MK got the story first.  Surprised the Norwegian media were slow off the mark after they have seemed to have been live on everything since last week.

Why OGS decided not to be considered will possibly be down to a number of factors but I think the owner throwing his toys out of the pram put a lot of pressure on him to the point that OGS may have felt that he was letting down a whole community.

We move on and I hope that the club can try and keep the lid on their dealings as I do not think working under the spotlight of the fans, media etc. is helping.  We are going to get who we get and just hope the club have taken notice of the reaction of the fans to the way forward with somebody like OGS.

There's no "they" involved.

The prices are just reflecting the money that's being punted. The bookies aren't sat there at 11 o'clock at night adjusting odds. If the odds are changing, it is because people are throwing money at it, and in a small market, it doesn't take much money to bring about a big change of odds.
