Its brilliant what a you-tube video can do. If i was Mcliesh i'd be working on one now so everyone can see his "vision" about football. Shoe in for the Molde job if he does.

Having fun burning your straw men there, Greg?

Just don't understand the logic especially those that want to go shit or bust on an unproven manager who bought the equavilent of the Div2 League especially given how bad we are and how little we'll have to spend. We also seem to have acquired a large amount of experts on norwegian football in the last week who know exactly what he's about and are convinced his vision is right for us. I realise i'm in the minority but then thats hardly a rare occurance. Just sounds like more v like hope than any basis in fact.

Lets face it Greg, any new manager we all HOPE will do a good job. In the case of OGS I believe that he has the potential to do a fantastic job, and the very fact the board have even considered him gives us all much hope and optimism for the future.

No one knows if he will do a good job, but most of us are more than willing to back him, and the potential new direction he will take us.

#Believe

And just to add my two pennies worth to this Greg, I know the Norwegian league on a like for like basis is not up there with the premiership, but that's an unfair comparison as it should be relative, in which case OGS has managed a team that has never won the Norwegian premiership to their first title, no small task...

Didn't Steve McLaren do something similar?

I'll back him if he comes but i'm not going down the daft blind faith route again. The last guy who had that sort of belief from the fans walked out and nearly bankrupted the club.

Well I think the board has learnt more than one lesson over the last few seasons, OGS will have to be backed but Im sure the stupid massive expensive contracts are now a thing of the past.

I don't think people have blind faith. Speaking personally I'm backing 'might be great/might be shit' over 'probably will be solid'.

I'd be happy with OGS but I think a week ago, many of us were more than happy with Paul Lambert.  Indeed, we joined the Norwich fans in singing his name at Carrow Road.  It wouldn't be the worst appointment in the world if Lambert was appointed.  If we do have permission to talk to him then it shows that the name of Aston Villa is still a mighty one!! I'd be happy with either appointment.  I would also include Martinez in that too, as a week ago, I also thought he'd be a good appointment.  OGS = bold and brave, Lambert = safe, Martinez = decent but Whelan is a knob and will talk us down.

I've turned down several Premier League clubs this week - Solskjær

The Molde coach led his team this Sunday to a comfortable 2-0 win over Sandnes Ulf, but he has been in the media recently, mainly because of his visit to the Premier League club Aston Villa.

"I felt I owed myself to visit them. I have said no to several Premier League clubs this week. Finally, there comes a point where you want to talk to them, get acquainted and see what happens", a smiling Solskjær told NRK.

Solskjær says he was flattered by the Villa inquiry, but doesn't mention the other clubs by name.

I think that is fair. I am sure Lambert will do a good job, but he worries me for reason I have already said. Martinez I think would do quite well with us in fairness, and we would play some good football so not too upset, but Ole does seem to have captured the imagination a bit and have a bit about him, maybe we are at that point that we want to cling to bold and brave.

One of my biggest wants is someone to develop a young side though, even with players coming into the club, that are growing together. Not sign the likes of Grant Holt for silly money at 31.
