i would imagine the whole thing is still up in the air, nobody knows where they stand because we are still talking to other candidates,
how someone like Lambert must feel knowing all this stuffs being carrying on i dont know

this seemingly American way of doing things is the reason Rogers said no to Liverpool in my view, he just didnt want to be part of the circus, if they went for him and offered him the job he would have taken it, no one  in there right mind wouldnt leave Swansea for Liverpool

it leaves managers in a very vulnerable position, no one goes to a job interview and tells there boss 'i'm just of to try and get a better job, if i dont get it i'l still keep working here dont worry' its ludicrous

It's all part of the game. We say we're talking to others in case he turns us down. He says he's happy for the moment in case the job isn't offered to him. They both know where they really stand.

It's only the stuff with the private jet that has led us to know any of this at all. Lambert could already have been interviewed at some golf course in Northants for all we know.

That's a good point.

If it weren't for some bloke on VillaTalk being an air traffic controller at BHX, we'd have known absolutely nothing of this. We might have spoken to Lambert at the Linton Travel Tavern three weeks ago for all we know.

what you really think that no one would notice what was ging on in Molde when Randy's billionare jet landed, i'm sure they are used to that sort of thing every day of the week !

it would have been leaked without a doubt

What a fun summer this is going to be

Aint it typical of Villa that our summers are more exciting than our playing seasons?

That latest Norwegien Newspaper article is pretty much an 'i'm on my way' declaration.

I think it's a done deal, and the club have left off offering it him straight off to see how the fans react.

I'd say the pretty much unanimous support for the move will see it sealed on Monday.

I agree.  Deal will be sealed on Monday I think.

A Norwegian business contact of mine, who is a Villa fan, and a sportsbook manager, so knows a fair bit about Scando football said this to me "If Solskjaer signs I am 110% sure he will bring along Magnus Wolff Eikrem and Davy Claude Angan as well."

I've no idea who those two are.

I haven't seen it anywhere other than the bastion of truth "The Daily Star" that we are talking to Lambert next week. Where did they get that information from? From the looks of it they've spoken or sounded out their candidates and have acted on thenone they want the most.

Eikrem is an attacking midfieler that used to be at Man U. No idea who the the other bloke is.

Well the General knows all about the air traffic bloke so they can't plead ignorance on that one.

Yes. It's a subtle bit of unsubtlety, isn't it.

Looks like Molde have given Solskjaer plenty of reasons to resign, though.

ae ae ae ae ae

I'm a bit miffed that nobody has so much as tipped a hat to my tweaking of the word filter yesterday to turn 'Solskj ae r' to Solskjær.
